There’s something so timeless and romantic about a rainy wedding day — and Aimee & Julien’s October celebration at the Woodruff-Fontaine House was no exception. The day was cool, dark, and drizzly, but the warmth and joy surrounding these two completely outshined the weather.

From the moment I arrived, there were smiles, tears, and laughter everywhere. Their people showed up for them — friends and family filled every corner of this historic Memphis venue, ready to celebrate. The majority of this gallery is full of those candid, in-between moments: hugs from parents, tears from friends, and the way Aimee and Julien looked at each other like no one else in the room existed.

The Woodruff-Fontaine House gave us the most beautiful backdrop — dramatic staircases, ornate chandeliers, and cozy spaces that made the rain feel like part of the story instead of an inconvenience. We even snuck outside between showers for a few portraits, and the wet pavement gave us the prettiest reflections.

When I think back on this day, the word that comes to mind is connection. Aimee and Julien have a quiet, steady love that is so easy to see — and it was an honor to photograph the way they care for each other and the people around them.
